During Your Stay
We understand that surgery can bring a lot of uncertainty and may be a new experience for you and your family. We promise to keep you safe and cared for, involve you and your family, and respect you and your time. Make sure you understand your planned procedure. Ask your doctor any questions about the surgery you are planning to have. It’s important that you follow all instructions to ensure your surgery can take place as planned. Our waiting room offers you and your loved ones a calm, comfortable, family-oriented environment during your stay. We want you and your family to be as relaxed as possible during the waiting period before and after surgery. Don’t hesitate to ask us questions if you feel the need.
Get your medical records
My Patient Portal
For your convenience, Cypress Pointe Surgical Center offers patients around-the-clock access to your current medical records through MyCareCorner. The portal can be accessed via desktop computer or a mobile app.
With MyCareCorner, you can securely access basic information from your personal health record such as vital signs, medical conditions, immunizations, medications and test results. You also have the ability to view and send secure messages to and from your health care provider as well as request appointments.
To protect your privacy, Cypress Pointe Surgical Center must confirm your identity and issue you a portal invitation to your chosen email account. Please contact our Registration Staff at (985) 510-6140 for any questions or to receive a MyCareCorner patient portal invitation.
Access Historical Records
It’s a good practice to maintain your medical records. You’ll need them if you change doctors, move, get sick when you’re away from home, or end up in an emergency room. If any of these things happen and you have your records, you may get treatment more quickly, and it will be safer.
If you need to request copies of your medical record for your own use or to disclose to health care providers, insurance companies, attorneys or other third parties, you must make your request in writing by completing our authorization to disclose protected health information form.

Pricing Transparency
We partner with our patients to help you understand and plan for your health care expenses in advance by providing you with information about the costs of our services and procedures. This practice also complies with federal price transparency rules.
Every patient’s case is different based on medical condition, physician preference, and other factors. Additionally, the amount actually paid by a patient will depend on that patient’s insurance coverage, policy provisions and other factors and benefit plans, which vary greatly.
Numerous factors, such as type of plan, co-pay, co-insurance, deductible, out-of-pocket maximums, provider network and other limitations, will impact your financial responsibility to a hospital.
The charges displayed include hospital charges and may not include charges that are billed separately by the physician or other professional fees and diagnostics.
Please contact the hospital directly at (985) 510-6200 or your insurance company to understand all the factors affecting your financial responsibility.

Planning Ahead
You will receive a call the day before your scheduled procedure informing you of your arrival time. Our Laboratory and Radiology departments are open from 8 AM to 5 PM for diagnostic testing procedures. You must be registered before any procedure or diagnostic test.
Cypress Pointe Surgical Hospital has two entrances. When you meet with or have a phone interview with our Pre-Admissions team, they will tell you which entrance to use when you arrive.
You should bring a list of all medications and supplements you are taking because some may cause interactions and side effects. If you are going to stay overnight, you should bring all your medications with you the day of your procedure. Presenting an updated list of prescription and over-the-counter medications you take is important to keep you safe.
Your Stay
A member of our dietary team visits each unit daily to provide menus for patient meals. Staff is also available to address specific dietary needs or concerns you may have. Your doctor may also prescribe a meal plan, and your menu options will depend on his orders. You may be restricted from eating certain foods or ingredients or need foods prepared in certain ways. Our Café is open for family members and visitors.
Your health, safety and welfare are important to us, so we ask that you have someone drive you home when you are discharged.
Cypress Pointe Surgical Hospital strives to provide an open visitation policy. We understand that seeing friends and family can offer comfort during your stay. However, this can at times be challenging for patients who need total rest for recovery or when extended families are visiting. If you have questions or concerns about visitation options, please discuss them with your care team. Pets are not allowed; however, the hospital does allow service animals and therapy dogs.
Unless you specified that you don’t want to be contacted during your stay, friends and family can reach you by calling the hospital’s main number, (985) 510-6200, and by asking for you by name. To protect your privacy, callers receive no information about your location or medical condition.
NO SMOKING is permitted on the campus of Cypress Pointe Surgical Hospital. As part of our commitment to protect and promote good health, Cypress Pointe is a smoke-free, tobacco-free campus.
We value your feedback: Your input helps us improve our services. Don’t hesitate to talk to your nurse, charge nurse (nursing supervisor) or a member of our team. During your stay, you may receive a visit from a nursing leader or a member of the patient experience team to ensure you are satisfied with your care and treatment. If you or a family member has a concern, please contact a member of our patient experience team at (985) 510-6165.
Financial Matters
For your convenience, we can provide price estimates for services and diagnostic testing. Since we cannot anticipate all the charges associated with your treatment plan, we can’t determine the exact total cost of a procedure in advance. As a result, the final bill may differ from the estimate provided.
Your out-of-pocket expenses are the portion of your bill that are your responsibility. This varies and depends on your individual insurance coverage.
The Cypress Pointe Hospital Charge Master contains the prices of all services, goods and procedures for which a separate charge exists. It is used to generate a bill to a hospital patient or a patient’s health insurance provider. In compliance with the centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services rule (CMS-1694-F), the Cypress Pointe Hospital Chargemaster is provided here. The Chargemaster lists the itemized price of all hospital charges and does not reflect what an insurance company will pay based on contracted rates or what a patient will owe as an estimated out-of-pocket expense.
Cypress Pointe Hospital is a contracted service provider with private health insurance plans and several Medicare Advantage plans. A list of our contracted insurance partners can be found here.
