Dr. Charles Bowie

Dr. Charles Bowie is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive techniques to treat stroke, cerebral aneurysms, and spine conditions. As one of South Louisiana’s top spine care experts, his surgical expertise includes the treatment of degenerative disorders of the spine such as lumbar and cervical stenosis, spinal compression, herniated or ruptured discs, and osteoarthritis. Dr. Bowie is also a top provider of artificial disc replacement and is also one of the only surgeons in the entire country offering patients advanced minimally-invasive laser and robotic-assisted spinal surgery. The Eunice, Louisiana native majored in biological sciences at LSU and received his medical degree from the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport. Dr. Bowie completed both his general surgery internship and neurosurgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Before returning home to practice in South Louisiana, Dr. Bowie completed an extensive fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery/Neuro Interventional Radiology.
