Dr. Leonard Treanor

Dr. Leonard Treanor was born and raised in Queens, New York. He earned a B.S. degree in Biology and Chemistry from St. Johns University in Jamaica, New York. After graduation, he taught Chemistry in Brooklyn, NY for two years. He earned his M.D. from the Medical University of the Americas in Nevis, West Indies. His third- and fourth-year clinical training was performed at LSU, Leonard J. Chabert Hospital in Houma. Dr. Treanor completed his internship and residency at Baton Rouge General Family Medicine Program. During residency, he obtained training in Sports Medicine while working with athletes at LSU. He also served as the Infectious Disease and Clinical professor for the Our Lady of the Lake Physician Assistant Program. Dr. Treanor has additional training in treatment of acute strokes, advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine. His special interests include preventative medicine, migraine therapy and adult ADHD. Dr. Treanor is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, a Member of National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, Certified Advanced Wound Therapies and Certified by Aurora Health Care in Hyperbaric Medicine. He and his wife, Jeanne Marie, have a daughter, Pamela.
